FARRAND, WESTCOTT: Nariessas FARRAND transacted 160 acres, lot 61 Hudson Twp. 1806 with Daniel and Anna Hudson. Did Nariessas FARRAND have a daughter Narcissa? Is this the same Samuel WESTCOTT born in Conn. who was in Somerset Twp., Hillsdale Co., Mich. in 1840? James WESTCOTT, born in Rhode Island, was in the adjoining Wheatland Twp., Hillsdale Co., Mich. The transacted lands listed above are currently in Summit Co., Ohio, but were originally in Trumbull, Portage and Medina counties respectively.

I have been going through two diaries of my g-g-grandmother Jane Minerva TILLOTSON who lived in Brunswick, OH in the mid-1800s. The two diaries are for the years 1858 and 1861. She mentions a number of local families, some of whom were in-laws and some of whom were friends. In developing the story of her life I would like to know more about these people. The family names in Liverpool and Brunswick are WARNER, PRICHARD, BENNETT, BYAN, BUTTS, DEMING, FRANCIS, WARD, WILMOT, FREESE, GOODRICH, MORTON, PECK, ROOT, STEVENS, STOW, and WAIT. If anyone is researching one of these families I would be glad to let you know how they are mentioned in the diary in return for information you may have about them to help me understand the life of my ancestor better.
