Albert's father may have been Samuel BROCKWAY, but no proof. Somehow Albert is related to William and Rhoda (TAYLOR) BROCKWAY, who resided Medina Co. and Norton Twp., Summit Co., OH. Does anyone know how Guilford Township in Medina County got its name? There is a Guilford in Connecticut and also one in Virginia. There is a person by the last name of Guilford who was instrumental in establishing public education in the state of Ohio. I do not know if any of these might be the source for the name GUILFORD in Medina County. Does anyone know?

Their children, David B. ALLEN, Sarah E. ALLEN SHELDON, twins Edwin G. and Edward G. and Juliette were all born in Chatham Centre in the period 1836-1849. David married Flora PACKARD and Sarah married James Blakeley SHELDON and Sarah, David and Edward all died in Michigan. I have been trying to find my gggrandfather for sometime and now believe I have been looking for the wrong name. I think the name I should be looking for is Rozelon BARNHART. I know that he was born in Pawnee and married his wife Ida YOUNG also from Pawnee. They had 4 children named Tabitha (died as an infant of black measeles)Ocha, Leal and my ggrandfather Cloy Elmer who born in 1898. He was the youngest I believe so his parents were probably married abt 1890. If anyone has any information or can give me soem advice ao where to look it would be greatly appreciated. I think I have Rozelon's death date as 1919 in Lorain County. PLEASE HELP!!!!

William SHAW & Hannah PEACOCK arrived in Waddington, NY 1829 (from Liverpool) and met Hannah's Cousin and Brother John PEACOCK and his wife Elizabeth HOGGARD & William PEACOCK who moved to the Waddington- Madrid area in 1823. William SHAW and Hannah moved to Poe City in Medina County in 1833 and had a total of 9 children. Hannah & William PEACOCK were the children of Thomas Peacock & ???? Moody. William Shaw was the middle son of John Shaw, whose other two sons were name John & ?????. Brother John went to Australia, and the unkown son moved to Canada, while William moved to Waddington with his wife Hannah. It was said that (our family story)...Thomas was a stable boy and his wife Miss Moody were disinherited of all of Miss Moody's fortune because her family was well to do and disapproved of their union. I am trying to figure out the Shaw & Peacock hometown in England (or Scotland?). If this sound familiar I'd be happy to exchange anything I have with anyone who may have other.

My ancestors, Peter and Amelia (BENSINGER) REPP (m at Medina cty 12 May 1836) lived on a small farm in Harrisville Twp near the Medina cty/Wayne cty line. They are buried in the REPP/KIME cemetery in Medina cty. I am descended from their son Henry REPP (b 11 Jan 1843 in Medina cty - d 29 Aug 1917 in Wayne cty). Henry married Priscilla STITLE (25 Sep 1846 - 17 Dec 1929). Priscilla's parents were Josiah STITLE (1813 - 1901) and Sarah (1821 - 1889). Priscilla had a sister, Sarah who married William REPP. Josiah and Sarah Stitle are buried in the West Salem cemetery. I am searching for information about STITLE. I believe they were also from Medina cty. I have much information about these REPPs if anyone is interested, and I will gladly share.

I am searching for info on Josiah STITLE and wife Sarah (maiden name unk). They were in Medina cty, Homer twp, in 1860. Family consisted of Josiah, Sarah, and children: William (15), Priscilla (13), Elizabeth (12), Sarah (8). Josiah's mother, Hanna (61), was living with them. Priscilla m my ggfather Peter REPP 5 Jul 1868. They are buried in West Salem, Wayne cty, cemetery along with Josiah, Sarah, and Hanna. Priscilla's sister, Sarah Stitle, married Henry's cousin William Repp 31 Dec 1866 in Medina cty. It may be that Josiah came to Medina cty from Mahoning cty. I think the Stitles originally came from PA. I will gladly share all info I have with anyone who can help me find the STITLEs. Thanks.
