Would like to make contact with anyone who may have information on the following family. This information is from the IGI files, and has not been thoroughly researched yet.

Family legend has it that Oscar shot and killed Mary when she found him with another woman. Question: Did this occur in Ohio or in Kentucky? My Great- Grandparents were James and Edith (McAlpine) Ramsey. I was told that they left Kentucky because of the scandal surrounding the shooting. Mary is listed as having died in Lorain County, Ohio.

How does one go about checking prison records? Can anyone provide me with a link to or the name of a local newspaper?
