Quick, grab your family records sheets...I may have a breakthrough which officially connects me to this group. But need some confirmation, assurances, documents, hints! I think I've found parents of Charles M. COOK who immigrated from Connecticut to Medina Ohio in 1818.

Have strong indications that his parents were James Munson Cook (b 11 June 1765 in Waterbury or perhaps New Haven and Thankful Prichard daughter of Isaac PRICHARD and Lois BRONSON of Waterbury. Believe James arrived in Medina with his son in 1818. According to a reference book, James M. Cook's will was probated in Medina in 1823.

James was possibly the son of Charles Cook (b.1741, d 11 Aug 1764) and wife Sibil/Sybil MUNSON of Waterbury, Conn; (Source FHL records)

Hi,
My Robert LOOMIS lived in Liverpool,Medina Co. for some time. He died there in 1892. I am hoping to visit there next summer. Perhaps see where he lived ,where he is buried, and where my GGgrandpa Truman LOOMIS was born and raised. My Loomis's are decendants of Joseph of Windsor,Conn.Truman settled in Sauk Co. Wi. and here I am. I am interested in finding a live relative that I can write to ,maybe call and share pictures. Do you know of LOOMIS's still living there? Thanks, Kren

Each center's holdings include a microfilmed collection of area newspapers.)
