I am searching for information on the Edward INMAN family who were in the Medina census in 1850 in Harrisville Twp. His widow and children were in Lodi in the 1860 census. (L.B. INMAN listed as head of family - this would have been Laura). They were the parents of Mary (b. 1841, d. 1859), George, Henry, Rose (m MOSSMAN), Nettie (Sarah Jennette) m. BREESE, and Julia Ann (my greatgrandmother) who married 1) NEELINGS and 2) HOLCOMB.

Were there newspapers giving death notices/obituaries in 1859/60? Edward is believed to have been the brother of Noah INMAN who married Mary DICKENSON in Medina County in 1850. I am most interested in information on their parents and possible other siblings. Edward was born in 1815 or 1817 in Ohio. Any information anyone might provide, or any ideas on how I might search for this Medina County info from Washington State would be appreciated. I am willing to pay for research if there is someone available in Medina County to do so.

Thanks in advance,

Does anyone know about the SPENCER families that lived in Granger, Medina County in the early 1800's? My gggrandfather Giles Aaron Spencer, said that he was born there in 1825. According to the Census records for 1820 and 1830 there were three Spencer families living in the area. I don't know which family Giles belonged to. He married Harriet Rice in the early 1850's and they had one son, Charles, who was born, so he said, in Allegan County, Michigan. So, I don't know whether Giles and Harriet were married in Ohio or not, but one source said that Harriet also was born in Ohio. I have not been able to find their parents names and so have not been able to continue my line. Can anybody help?

Wondering how to find naturalization papers of Joe Pimlot, marriage certificates, etc.
